the Mod is called the Ultimate Armada Mod. i think i got it off of Armada Fleet command. but the install program for it isnt working and the thing is 10 years old so the chances of the email being valid are slim to none. so i'm on here to ask if anybody on here can identify what folders the different file types go into in the armada folder. anybody think they can help? also today is a day for celebration since i was able to successfully modify the Assimilated Federation Mod to build the premonition. altho there were some minor problems with the torpedoes included in the mod and the special weapon but i dealt with that by replacing the new torpedoes with borg torpedos and replaced the special beam weapon with the borg diamond's ultiranium blast and added on a transwarp drive and a pair of turret pulse phasers to make the premonition a decent capital ship

lol thanks i kind of got hooked on the premonition being used as a battleship thanks to one of the mods i downloaded last year. but when my computer started making noise when i played armada i deleted everything. now that i've gotten the computer cleaned out. no more noise and i'm back in business i'm actually planning to create my own science ship for the assimilated federation mod using the sona destroyer. more or less i'm just planning to tack on a few weapons and some special attacks and replace the ultiranium burst on the premonition with a Romulam Shield Inversion attack for bringing down cubes. now all i need to do is test my theory about the IvanF mod. when i installed and played it 2day it cut out on me. i'm thinking that it cut out because i overloaded it with too many ships. so to test that i'll try a game with me a 5 ai's instead of 7 and see what happens
OK i have almost everything in the folders. but there are a few files left to place. the extensions are: .1 .2 .3 .4 .bak .old
on a related topic i'm pretty sure i've fixed my problem with the ivan f mod of it cutting out on my by reducing the number of ai characters i face from 7 to 5
and i've made a decision.

every time those pointy eared SOB's attacked my base they used that holo emitter attack and i ended up blasting my own fleet :bawl:

The .(number) ones go in C:\Program Files\Activision\Star Trek - Armada\Textures\RGB. They're used for texture level-of-detail (LOD). The .bak and .old ones are backups from an old version of a file and aren't necessary.
got it thanks. out of curiousity i tried the game ignoring the .bak files and it worked fine. but the mod was crap
