well i have hit a brick wall im trying to get a ship to spin in place after it fires its special weapon at a diferent target but i cant get it to spin and then stop spining after a short 3 seconds just long enough to fire the weapon does any one have any ideas???????? :banghead: :uhh: :???:

The only thing I can think of is somehow adapting the file that controls how a ship acts when its damaged (cos they spin dont they), how this would be done, I dont know sorry

Suggestion:

Have the the ship turn into a turret while fireing (turrets can have fancy spinning animation stuff, the base of this turret could be hidden from view, the ship itself could be the bit that spins) and then turn back into a ship when finished.

You can make a converting device using the Borg ship joining device (you'd best make 2 of these, one for ship to station and one for station to ship). To simulate ammo being used up, make the firing of the weapon use special energy

(I suggest this energy usage should be linked to the actual firing of the shots, not the spinning - a bit like a chaingun running out of bullets and then just spinning while empty).
