Just wanted to post that now a2u is finished, that I am moving on from the project.I'm starting work on my own project entitled "Star Trek Armada II Ultimate".

I have enjoyed very much working on the a2u project and will miss being part of that team. But I wanna venture out on my own and see how my own project turns out.

It will be similar to a2u except I intend to take things to another level.

Updating all textures, weapon effects, sounds, changing the gui's,buttons, splash screens, more multi-player maps, updating the game fonts, some configuration file changes, while still reamining online/multi-player compatible. There will be many surprises that I hope will make a few people come back atleast for a little multi-player action.

I intend to add many things that I 'think' will be able to be added without causing it to be incompatible online..only time and testing will tell..Anyway I wish a2u and that whole team the best for the future.

Thats sad... well it seems that im the only avaible A2U member atm...

But im not sure why you are leavin... A2U has the same goals like your new project... I see no sense to split this (and im pretty sure that Freyr would agree).

i just wanna do my own thing.a2u will be fine.it was here before me and doing just fine.and it was left by me in excellent shape.i wouldnt have left any other way.

i dont think im splitting anything.i was already retexturing before i came to a2,and am just returning to that.

I think its fine having other people doing the same thing. When you only have one person doing it with no competition then nothing moves fowards and you get stuck where you are with no incentive to improve. I think friendly competition is great news for the community and I wish you good luck.

curtis, your current update-packs have take the stock game to new levels. thank you for that, i think many of us have found fun in in the stock game again because of your work (and the other a2u releases).

BUT as you say, the work is far from being finnished. i hope to see releases from you soon.

There is one thing I ask of you, whilst you're still on this A2U modification:

do you feel like producing an all-in-one pack? That way, people who are interested in downloading all of them, can do so in one and all those who want the seperate packs, still can.

well,it was my understanding that once all packs were sent in that the a2 team(i guess freyr or tparis) would consolidate them all into one download package.i think tparis mentioned he was gonna do it freyr didnt.

as far as my current project sta2u,it will be a single download, maybe split the audio off as a seperate pack to cut size.i expect to have it ready by late fall early winter..thinking november..december.but those dates are always up for change.
