I was browsing ships at battleclinic and came across a SFC3 model of the Luna Class. I would really like to be able to use this in Armada2 but I don't know what I would have to do to make it useable, would someone convert it from SFC3 .mod to A2 .sod for me? I want to release it with my mod, but i haven't recieved a response from the creator yet (only sent messege today) -Lord_Trekie
Wow: I'm really looking forward to see the Luna Class ship for Armada2 and, hopefully, the one who can make this ( I cannot :-( ) make the ship with illuminations. I hope you have luck Lord_Trekie because i bet we are many who want to see the Luna in action!
While I could probably convert it, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this ship over 9,000 polys? If its the one im thinking of, then it would have to be hugely poly reduced before being even remotely usable. I've never attempted that, and I doubt my MS3d could even open a .mod with that many poly's. But if someone with the capability to poly reduce it wants too, I can attempt to convert it.
The original poly count is almost 9500 polys IIRC. Its made originally from Queballs Premonition model. Of course. There are "other" ways of making this ship an armada reality.........
I believe I know what you are referring to "ahem" but I did convert it to SOD, I just don't know if I was supposed to do anything else to it with you know what.
Well I'm lost, my assumption was that the Major was referring to kitbashing his own Premonition Class for Armada 2. which is only 2552 polys.
Just because you can't import the model it doesn't mean the major doesn't have a copy of the model in 3ds or ms3d format
erh...correct me if i am wrong, but can you not import it into a program, (i forget the name) and convert it into .mod (or wot ever fomatt sfcIII uses) and then import it into Milkshape mess around with it, and then export it as .sod.
Okay, right now I have it in both .mod and .sod format, what I need to know is what else to I have to do to the model other than coming up with an .odf.
