Ok, so a quick question (which may devour into a long question) ;) We know we've got the Ferengi, and they work in two different ways (they have two ships). One being the Ferengi Cargo Ship (which comes into the game map, and trades via your outposts. And then you've got the Marauder, which comes into the game map, and steels your derelict ships. My question is this: Can you edit either one of those (or create a new one) so that ships (doesn't matter what species) come onto the map, attack your ship / stations (and other players ships & stations) and then go again? Thus, they'd act as 'map units' but they'd come in, attack, and then retreat... I hope those reading this understand what I am getting at...

from what I can tell (cos its something iam looking into for Eternity), its just a simple matter of odf editting, ie changing the behaviour of the ships.

Sounds simple enough... I'll have a mess with some .odf files when I get around to this part of the project. Thanks! :)
