thunderfoot, but that is exactly what would happen in RL. :eek: the problem is more that while battle your own ships would start to board small enemy ships and get their a** pwnded while their shields are down by the big enemy ships.

i think the only way to change how fast they beam the boardingparties, is to alter the settings for beaming in the rts_cfg.h file but this affects all beaming :(
I've gotten Borg vessels to do it well on my upcoming mod. All Borg vessels are equipped with basic Borg Technology (Regeneration, Transwarp Drive, etc.) but I made them all assault ships. While transporting, regeneration keeps them from getting pounded and they seize vessels in record time. Other than that, the Klingons and any other race that tries it without Regeneration gets pounded.

There is another option. Use the Commando teams as assault boats. No need to lower the sheilds on either ship and You can tune boarding strength
no don't want to have those commando teams for boarding. this asault setting shows how stupid A2's AI is, your units don't beam to other vessels automaticly, the Klingon and other AI enemys do. :(
