I made an Installer for Armada 2 which should add all odf tt and spr entries without overwriting other installed mods.

Its still a beta software and i want you to test it and help me to find all bugs.

So here is it: http://tuningweltweit.de.tk/tb2.zip

Please download this, test it and write comments, i need them.:bows:

(This installer will install the Thunderbird 2)

Thanks a lot!

I plan to test it, as soon as I get a chance. It's very interesting to me, and a great idea. I imagine you'll be getting allot of users. I'll post my thoughts after I check it out.

Hello, :cya: I tried it and it seems okay. I have modded the Cardassians ( just having a play around) and it didn't alter anything. Just added TB2 to the Fed side. Hope this helps. :)

I would love to test this for you mate, but my game is very heavily modded and i would hate to see something go wrong. Although, good luck with this, i'm sure it will come in very handy. :)

I am pretty sure that this wont damage your game but as I dont want to be responsible for damaged games which MAYBE could happen, I wrote that you may install this in a 2nd installation of Armada 2. Maybe you are able to copy your current game and to install in this copy as it sounds very interesting to test this installer in a heavy modded game.

But I have an other question, are you missing any properties/options on this program?

Here is a picture for those who dont want to download the program: instala.jpg

Hey, sorry it took so long, but I finally got around to testing this.

Everything seems okay. I checked all the edits, and it's good to see they're added at the end of the files. The backups are good too.

The only problem I found is it won't edit read-only files. I don't know if there's a way around this, but it might be a problem for the uninitiated.

I'd be interested if you plan to add functionality. Namely:

1) An Un-installation option, and

2) Installation of the sod, odf, and texture files, and

3) The ability for anyone to apply any ship/station to it, or would you have to build one for each installation?

Anyway, good job. I can see this helping allot of people.

ah thanks a lot, I thought ill never get any suggestions^^

Ive no idea how to allow the program to change read-only files...

1) good idea i think i will add this if ill make an other version

2) i know i spend days to find out how to do it but it just never worked, im not that good at programming and im to stupid to get this feature to work

3) Perhaps ill create a multi-installer, it will be much more complicate and i dont think that it will be able to install everything because im not sure if its possible to tell the program which sprite entry in the readme file is part of which sprite file. But installing different ships wont be a problem.
