its been a while since ive been here so i dont remember if im even in the right place for this.:) is there a mod that would make the armada 2 starbase like the ones from armada 1 so i can have more officers, is there also one that will let me take over enemy stations and allow me to build there ships or use what ever it is that they use?:confused: oh is there also a mod that will add the dominion ships or stations into the game? by the editor perhaphs? i would also need to find that one to so i take it that there is no mod like this? im just sick of having to destroy over half my base just so i can have my 2 fleets of battle ships (galaxy/neg-var/cube) and a small artilary fleet to take out turets. i just want to have the old starbase upgrade that would let you get more officers like in armada 1. is there a mod like that in this site or am i sol?
SPY46;3442346 oh is there also a mod that will add the dominion ships or stations into the game? by the editor perhaphs? i would also need to find that one to
The Dominion Ultimate mod is your best bet.
how about a mod for the starbases so there more like the ones in armada 1
Would a 'Thank You Gavin' not have been a nicer way to start? :uhm:
SPY46;3442346so i take it that there is no mod like this?
I'm sure there is somewhere, though people who have seen you posts (myself included) simply aren't aware of its location. Give it time.
I'm also thinking this would be better suited in Modding & Editing, thus: :moved:
SPY46;3442346 is there also one that will let me take over enemy stations and allow me to build there ships or use what ever it is that they use?:confused:
In multiplayer set your game to freetech, then all you need to do is capture an enemy construction ship and build a shipyard. Might also be wise to set the game to max officers and unlimited resources (if you plan on building massive amounts of battleships). Also if your playing just against the computer there is a little trick to get them right away. I use it for testing all of the Yesteryears races at once. Click CTRL+A and click agree to the user agreement then wolla you have the map editor (provided you have already installed it) and can add ships and stations from any race and give them to any player. Be warned though, check which team you assign then too or you may have a nasty surprise when you click CTRL+A again to return to normal play. I also strongly suggest not doing this trick when playing against human players, not only does it make it unfair to the others its also cheating and would tick off the other players and you may find everyone against you. :lol:
lol sweet. does the editor come with the game or is it a download? also what i had meant was is there a way i could capture a station ect in a mission, thats also why i wanted to know if there was a mod that would change the starbases to be more like the ones from armada 1. then when i play one of the klingon missions i could have a fleet of vorch and a fleet of keldon warships side by side just for kicks. (im a bit evil like that :eek::nodding::lol: )
SPY46;3445042lol sweet. does the editor come with the game or is it a download?
It comes on the CD. Just copy the files into your A2 main directory.

question, what do i do with the files that i coppy? it doesnt say what to do with them (does it?) so ... ???? oh thank you for your help so far, i apresheate it. ummm all i get when i try and edit a map (treasures) all i see is a map of shroud along with the romulan? comtroll pannle, did i do some thing wrong or is it soposed to be that way?
Ok, im asuming your CD drive is D. Go to;
and copy the files named ATVI and unsupportedextension_mapedit and paste them in your Armada 2 root folder.
And then right click on the Armada 2.exe and type in at the end of the command /edit mapname.bzn so it should look like this.
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Star Trek Armada II\Armada 2.exe" /edit mapname.bzn depending on which drive you have installed it onto. Then double click the EXE and there you go.
Hope that has helped you in some way.
