Hey, i currently have the dominion mod, but i found this other mod called 8472 Armada 3 concept and it looked wicked, if I installed that would it overide the dominion mod or would i keep the dominion and breen races?

There "shouldn't" be any conflicts between these two but, ofcourse there is only one way to truly find out for certain.

"a2" is an acronym of Armada2, it's as simple as that...

All of the accessible files in A2 are readable/writable in Notepad, which you already have. At a guess, you'll need to open and change the ODF files and the Tech files. The way to do this without overwriting what you already have in game is to cut and paste from what you have now and the mod you are planning to add in to a new file which will take the place of what is currently installed after you are finished. Takes a while, but the end result is worth it.

Before you do anything else at all, make a backup copy of your current Game and store it somewhere safe. This way, if you wreck the game beyond repair, you'll not have to start all over again and lose what you already have modded.

BTW, you'll not get some of us to admit to it in front of reliable witnesses, but we wuz all newbies at this modding thing one time or another.;) Don't be discouraged when you break something. Every time you change a file or a texture, you will learn something. Even if all you learn this time is what does not work.
