So... We have Tutorials on how to create textures (courtesy of Achilles), along with a Tutorial on how to add joints and hardpoints (courtesy of Major Payne), we've a Tutorial on how to create GUI's (courtesy of Chen), we have a Tutorial on how to create backgrounds (courtesy of FarheS) and we even have a Tutorial on the AI (I don't know who this is credited for). One thing though, that A2Files seems to lack, is a Tutorial on how to actually create a ship from scratch. I ask why? Is there one already avaliable somewhere that the community simply hasn't found, or is there one in production? It seems, there is enough content around the A2 community to learn how to modify the game, except modelling. That being the only thing we aren't told how to do. A Milkshape Tutorial would be lovely - I say Milkshape, as it is the cheapest program to acquire, and I expect most amateur models use Milkshape opposed to anything else... If anyone is planning on a tutorial, then please, hurry it up =p If nobody has any interest, then could we maybe have some interest? Doesn't have to be a fancy ship, a simply Constitution Class, or Bird of Prey would do the trick, just to show people how it is done. I'm sure people will pick up on their own technique shortly after anyway.

That would be awesome, I think that would help most people coming to this site looking for help. Also we could maybe see an increase in mods :)

A few Legacy modders are creating a modding wiki which could be hosted on legacy files.. modelling will be covered, modelling in milkshape and 3ds I do believe.. creating models is not game specific so that will be a thing to check out in a few weeks :)

I say bring it on! It's always cool to pick up something new, and it would benefit alot of us. Just think of all the cool new ships that could come out.

@S618-18741 The BBOM has a huge amount of info but 90% of it is on 3dsmax and most people can't get that because of the $5000 pricetag and once you have it you still need MS3D or some other supported program to export the model into the game unless you are one of the few people with a 6 or 7 year old copy wich is the only ones MadDoc put an exporter out for.:(

Well I'm surprised so many people are asking this, when they've been out for years. There are 4 pages of tutorials at AFC. Look out for one called mstutorial. It shows you exactly what you asked for Ash, how to build a basic Constitution class. Also several on texturing models and the like. Hope these help;)
