I already have the shield down mod from the armada2files site. but is there a new shield effect when hit by a weapon when the shields are all the way up?

Yes, it's called the blue shields mod, but it can be modified into pretty much anything you want.

I recall having seen that effect used in A1 screenshots, so I think so. It may require some fiddling around with though.

I hope people are still reading this thread, I successfully added the above shield mod, but I wanna modify it a little more. I put in the 'blue-shield' textures but it looks white in game. I tried both the double and single sod files. How can I modify it to make shield effect look blue?

I don't know, I haven't seen that happen before. Stupid question, but you did dump the textures into Textures/RGB, right? I wouldn't ask if I hadn't done that before.

EDIT: I just looked at the files. Did you copy the files from one of the sub-folders in 03-Shield-Textures in the download to Textures/RGB? It looks like that's where the colored shield effects are at.
