Of course it does, because STO is an MMORPG, it has to have playability, and to more than just the audience of Star Trek gamers...
....as a way of further boosting the franchise. I realize allot of you don't like these ships and that's okay, I'm not asking for seals of approval here. All I'm doing now basicly is just making it eazier for people to get a look at fresh and different perspectives, new line of thinking, and eventually spark new and inovative as well as inventive approaches to creating better ship designs that are in fact consistant with the canon Star Trek universe. At the very least we may be able to use some elements from any of these ships here to further augment the quality and or over-all shape of designs on the drawing boards(or future projects)that being said, just noticed another new ship has been released.
Its not bad. I just don't know why they think it is necessary to have two deflectors. Side by side....ok but, one on top and one on bottom is not appealing IMHO.
It's been done though in the canon Star Trek universe(Intrepid class)and quite frankly it makes sense, seing as how the deflector is crutial to navigation and warp drive systems. ;)
While obviously a lineage coming from the Luna class I love the saucer and may use it on one of my upcoming Post-Nemesis designs I am doing.
Great to hear Majest, can't wait to see what you come up with. :)
Hm... A Luna-clone. Not bad, but the narcelle is a bit weird and the upper section... Eh, forget it.
My STO Luna is actually a mix of the Luna and Comet, imo it's the best of both worlds there, I don't have any pics of her currently though.
