Hi guys, could do with some help.

I`ve been trying to modify the Transporter Attack weapon to beam a nuke aboard ala Stargate which will destroy the ship regardless of its status (as long as the shields are down.)

This weapon will hopefully be included in The Stargate Project mod (if ColdDarkParanoia wants it to).

So far I have duplicated and modded the gkcteam and kcteam.odf files, modifying the damageBase, ShieldCrewModifier, and hullCrewModifier values to 1000000 to ensure that the vessel is destroyed regardless of relative power.

I have added the weapon to my DSC-304 and also to the techtrees and the button appears in the game. But when I try and use it it comes up with a red line through the selection cursor, same as what happens when you try to beam aboard an enemy ship which has shields.

This is being tried on unshielded vessels of both the race I am playing and the race I am playing against. I`m fairly new to weapons modifying (grand total of an hour's experience!) but I just can`t figure out why it isn`t working.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The individual who comes up with the solution will be given a co-credit if the weapon is included in the mod as it would not happen without them.

I made a weapon that "beams" nukes aboard any vessel, shielded or not. It does effect shields before hull (although it looks like it didn't impact the shields, it actually does), but does enough damage that it doesn't really matter. It's essentially a pulse weapon that moves at the maximum speed in A2 and has a blank sprite.

Is there any chance you could send me that weapon or point me to where it is on the net so I can make a build button etc, test it, and then send it to CDP if you don`t mind it being used in the mod.

I`ve been doing alot of modelling for the mod but feel like I need a change so I`ve decided to look at some of the more difficult weapons to see what is possible in A2.

anything stargate'y is always welcomed ;) i look forward to seeing this weapon in game and seeing the solution u guys come up with to get it working

I'm packaging everything up now and I'm preparing to send it off. I'm also sending my AIM-54 Missile weapon with it. I may send it to A2Files as well.

I look forward to seeing it on A2Files. I of late have been doing alot of work on the Tauri of Parallels and would like to see some Tauri weapons released. :bows:
