Hey all, I've been having trouble with my planets for a while, and I can't seem to fix it. It seems that no matter what I do I can't assign textures to them, the texture name command in the odf file is right, the textures are in the RGB folder and named correctly, but the planet model appears white ingame. Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks in advance for any replies.
Have you tried renaming the SOD file? This is what I do and it works most of the time. It does not work with Yacuzza's MU 2.0 mapping planets however.
Just tried it and no luck I'm afraid.

I don't think you can do that with standard planets, or that's atleast the conclusion that was reached over in that thread :( My best advice would be to look at Midnight Universe V2 and see what Yacuzza set his planets as...I'm thinking maybe as stations but I'm not sure, I haven't dove into the ODFs yet :uhoh:.
Actually its my stock planets that are appearing untextured, I've had this problem ever since I installed Midnight Universe. Thunderfoot and I spent some time trying to fix it a few days ago but with no luck, anyone able to help with this?
Did you install MU manually or all together and did you install anything map related after that?
I installed MU manually, and nothing map related since. I have already tried replacing all the planet files (odfs, sods, and textures) with stock ones to no avail.
Well, I got no other ideas left other than trying to un-install and reinstall everything :(.
This is going to sound dumb but have changed anything to do with you graphics. New card, driver update, windows update, anything?
I have just emailed you a small selection of files to your starbase 34 email address. If you give those a try it ought to solve the problem. (Its the files that I put together for Vanilla Ultimate that worked with Midnight)
