Ok I'm making a ship called the comet cruiser... This is what I'm useing: SOD: I'm useing The [color=Red]Premonition Model[color=Black] from the [color=Red]Premonition Modding Kit[color=Black]. Premonition Modding Kit. TEXTURES: I'm useing the [color=Red]Premonition Textures[color=Black] from the [color=Red]Premonition Modding Kit[color=Black], With only [color=Red]Minor[/color][color=Red] [/color][color=Red]Ajustments[/color][color=Red][color=Black]. [/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][color=Red][color=Black][color=Red][color=Black]Premonition Modding Kit. ODF: [/color][/color][/color][/color]

[color=Red][color=Black][color=Red][color=Black]Im using the [color=Red]Armada II Edited ODF [color=Black]From the [color=Red]Premonition Modding Kit[color=Black], With [color=Red]MajorAjustments[color=Black]. [/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][/color][color=Red][color=Black][color=Red][color=Black]Premonition Modding Kit. OTHER MODS: I'm also useing some [color=Red]Special Weapons[color=Black] from the [color=Red]Promethues-X 2.0[color=Black]. Promethues-X 2.0 ---------------------------------------------------------------- And this is what I need help with: 1. How do I get it so with the [color=Cyan]Slip Stream [color=Black]Special weapon, Instead of the ship going into nowhere, and [color=Red]Then[color=Black] have the wormhole apear, has is so the wormhole apears [color=Red]First[color=Black], [color=Red]Then[color=Black] the ship gose through. 2. How do I get it so the button order is the Standard ones, Then CorbromiteV2*, Then Iconia, Then Slipstream, Then the Radiation Cannon*, Then Regeneration, Then Tracterbeam, Then Time Freaze(Federation Super Weapon.) 3. I wan't to add a new Corbromite, that's green. And called Corbromite 2. How do I do this. I went off to eat lunch, and now I can't edit my post so, 4. I want to have a [color=Red]Radiation Cannon[color=Black]. That kills all Crew members of a ship instantly. 5. I also want want a [color=Red]Radiation Missle[color=Black], that fire's like the Iconia, with the same explosion, but kills all crew in the same area size as the Iconia.[/color][/color] 6. Instead of having torpedos I wan't a blue Pulse phaser. How can I do all this. Please post in steps. Like for the slipstream, do: 1. [/color][/color][color=Red][color=Black][insert Info here] 2.[/color][/color][color=Red][color=Black] [insert Info here][/color][/color] [color=Red][color=Black]3. you have to give time to post, dont be to ansy or no one is going to care. Now, I am unable to help you at this time as I am trying to get all my models released, so I have no spare time, but Im sure there are some people that are willing, just give them time to respond.

PING! As if by magic....!

First of all I sugest you download "Westwoods big book of modding" it should be at:-

In the downloads\tutorials section

The "big book" has sections on creating your own weapons, i sujgest you read those bits.

Sujgestions for your weapon bits:-

Most of your weapons/devices can be made by copying and editing the original weapon files. You would have to copy/edit some or more of the following files:-

all the AI files for your weapons race - If they need a pod to allow the weapons use (but only if you want the AI to use it!) - in AI\AIPs

2 or more tech tree files - To tell the game your weapons exist and what (if any) is needed to create them - in techtree

gui_global.spr - tells the game which button graphic, and which weapon files to use (I think!) - in sprites

2 or more files for each weapon you want to create - in odf\weapons\[type of weapon]

2 or more files for each special weapon you want to create - in odf\special_weapons

1. Slipstream drive - try basing your weapon/device on the borg "wormhole" generator. 2. The buttons use a "priority" system - a number value attached errm... "somewhere" in the weapon's files. 3. The origional "Corb" used a TGA graphic file for it's look. You could copy that weapon's files to make a new version and to tell it to use an altered TGA file for it's look. 4. Try some of the following weapons as a base:- The "anti planet populaton beam" on the Borg colony ship or the one on the Cardassian ship, The assimilation beam on the borg cubes, The biomatter beam on the Species ships. 5. Errm! Try combining 4. with an ordinary torp.. 6. Hah! Easy! Pulse phasers are already in the game, the color comes from a line in the weapons files (the ones in odf/weapons/pulse) which chooses the color eg:- in dpulseo.odf shotcolor = 227

I know this isn't in steps but it at least gives you an idea of how to start...

actually the corb uses a sod thats hardcoded, either all corbomite reflectors are green or none are.

Also are you planning to release it, if so please make sure you have permission to alter the files from other peoples mods.

Umm! When I said "corb" I was refering to the Corbomite reflector weapon/device NOT the Cardassian orbital minning thing!

No offense intended but I think I'd best point out a few things...

SOD files are the "bodies" of 3d "things" eg:- ships, stations, pods - basicly anything that looks "blocky"!

The Cardassian orbital minning thing is a 3d "thing", its "body" is "corbital.sod".

The Corbomite reflector weapon/device is basicly a special effect that gets applied to a ships sheilds, it uses "Wcorbrefr.tga" to show it's in use. it has no "body" so therefore it needs no SOD!

If you want to check out what I'm talking about then feel free to load up "corbital.sod" in your favorite SOD editor,... I'm confident in what I've stated.

I was referring to the corbomite reflector :p uses a sod, try and point the odf at another sod and tell me I'm wrong :D
