I'm back with another goofy question. I have replaced the Enterprise in my game with the Century class by KMerse. It bugged the crap out of me that in the opening cinematic for Fed mission 1, the E was still in the game, so using the map editor, I replaced the cinematic Enterprises with the Century class. I copied the exact settings for these ships, including ship names and team settings, yet when the mission starts, the actual gameplay Enterprise is always labelled "USS Enterprise NCC-1701-F-C". Any ideas what causes this?

Hello: I once had the same issue, what happens here is that the cinematic movie was made using the model for the standard Sovereign (fbattle) instead of the hero USS Enterprise, the only way I found to change that was to rename the ship you want to appear and replace the Sovereign. I hope there would be a better easier way, because that may cause issues ingame and maybe even some serious confussions. I hope you'll get more ideas.

Actually, I just came on to post that I found a fix for this. My problem was that I was putting the Enterprise into the map instead of the standard Century model. Only the actual gameplay ship can be a hero ship. I've found that you have to position the replacement ship in the exact position of the ship that's there and make the unit tag, ship name, and team numbers exactly the same. The easiest way to do it is to put down your new ship before you delete the old one. That way, you can use the old ship as a reference to position your new one by. Then delete the old one and change the new ship's information to match the old one. Hope this helps! I've also made some progress with my Bink video program, and have been able to add animations to a custom SP map. Now if only I can get it into the game and add real objectives.

Hello: Now that you mention it, that is indeed possible and I have doine that too, I once replaced the stock Galaxy version of the USS Allegheny with my Venture class variant (the Galaxy class with added phaser arrays on the nacelles, from DS9), I am glad you could solve your problem :) .
