Ahem.

Community members, I'll be holding a Q&A session with some of the Future Tense team developers on Monday and whilst I have some questions, I'd like some of yours to add (I can only think of so many). Whilst the idea of having an open audience was thought of, I've decided to opt out of that for sake of control. If everybody took part, it'd likely be mayhem.

Anyhow, if you have any questions you'd like to ask, please post them here. Your name will be credited in the transcript when it is done.

If you don't feel comfortable with putting your question here or don't want it credited, feel free to PM me with it.

We'll do questions on a first come first serve basis (mixed in with my lot) and we'll get through as many as possible. Forward apologies if we don't get round to yours if such an event happens. I'd also like to limit the number of questions per-user to 2, with one main one and a back-up one if we have time at the end.

My question, I would like to know if they've found a way to fully light ships and stations like the lightmaps of Armada 2, because from some of the screenshots the ships look like they have been lightmaped.

In all fairness, i would like to know what this mod will bring to the fold, that seperates it from other stuff out there, or is just a tour de force of new models?

Why have they chosen Armada 1 as basement for the mod?

Think the big question is : how did they manage to make a working MVAM, but its not one i think they'll answer lol. Perhaps ask if they can give a hint, or how long it took? Failing that, ask if at some point they're going to release a tutorial that will explain it, presumably a long time after future tense comes out with this unique feature. Take your pick from those lol

This is a good question. One of those I would have included, though it has already been asked. I don't see why they wouldn't share. What is the point of doing something, if other people cannot enjoy it outside of their project? Something I believe the FO Team failed in respect. Anyway, to address the question, I have two, though one is interlinked with GuardKnights'. Question #1: We have seen in the Trailers and what not, an MVAM, and an Intrepid having her Armour Applied. First up, is this actually in-game footage, or was this created via tools for the Trailers Only? If this is possible, then can it be done with Armada II? Seeing as Question #1 is interlinked with GuardKnights, maybe (with his permission) you could extend his to cover what I put (whilst on the topic of the Prometheus) and give me another question? Question #2: Again, in Trailers and such, we see ships in a shipyard, all lights off. They'd then have the lights appear (as though the ship is powering up), it would reverse out of the dock, and fly off. Is this actually what it'll be like in game, or as above, was this done solely for the Trailer purpose? Question #3: How is it, that the Cardassian Union, Breen Confederacy and Dominion are not included within this project? I can understand the Dominion (being in the Gamma Quadrant) but the Cardassian Union, and Breen Confederacy could have worked rather well. In light of this, do you plan on doing an expansion for Future Tense, with either of these three races?

I have a question that is kind of the same as Ash's. Will we see ingame video? Its all good to see cin videos but that doesn't really tell us anything about the project except that the team can make flashy cin movies.

Just been informed of a computer issue (as in, not working) from one of the FT devs, so the Q&A will be postponed to next Monday. If you have any questions, you still have a chance to get some down. I've taken all I can from here so far and I aim to get as many of them asked.
