Finishing up my mod... I was combining the Cardassian and Dominion into one race and the game would crash as soon as a Dominion ship would fire weapons. I got the ship and weapons straight from the Dominion Ultimate mod... I have all the right files. Did I miss something? Here is a copy of the odf:

Problem is with the weapons odf. Either there is a spelling mastake in the names in this file or with thoughs or a file is missing. Check all the name entries here and in the other files. Also make sure the files aren't refferncing a file you forgot to add. Also make sure you have enough hardpoints to fire all the guns you have set to shoot. If 1 of the guns can't shoot because there are no avalible hardpoints the game will crash too.

"Standoff" shoudl perhaps be 'standoff' race = "dominion" - is your new race dominion or cardassian?

I had this problem with my ROTS mod. You could have forgotten to add the sprites in weapons.spr. If the ship fires then it is probably not this, but if the game crashes upon entering firing range then this may be the solution.

Thats the problem, thanks. I did forget to add the sprites in the weapons.spr file. I will test it today. As for my mod, it is a personal mod kind of like a "compilation" of all the mods I've tried. I'm combining the Dominion and Cardassians into one race since they do not have enough canon ships to have a race of their own. I'm trying to make the mod very cannon in terms of size, ship strength, and made battleships a lot more expensive, etc. I may release it if I can get all the permissions from the other mods I've taken bits and pieces from.

Wow, the edit button isn't showing up. Anyway... how do I get the "Transport Attack" button to replace the transporter like in an assault ship? And I'm assuming they're boarding parties are stronger than the average ship of their race.

The edit button only stays there for around 15 mins so people can't rewrite history.

The transporter attack special doesn't replace the transporter as such, the transporter does still remain on the ship. However, any boarding party from the ship is much stronger, and any boarding attack on the ship is about as tough.

it works, but the bording parties are weak as hell. How do I strengthen them like other assault ships?
