Yes, working on a generic canon-esque conversion mod. I'm not a modeler just a compilation thing where I do the techtrees and ODF changes along with adding ships from other mods. Idea is to make it more faithful to the Star Trek Universe. Playable races include Feds, Klingons, Roms, Borg, Cardassian / Dominon Alliance, Dominion Exclusive, Species 8472, and the Maquis. I will attempt to balance it as well as possible, but certain races may be a tad stronger than others, and the Maquis will require some extreme tactics. The general balancing act is obviously build times and build costs, but special weapons and ship power will stay as true as my interpretation of the saga (so Sovereign will finally be stronger than a Galaxy class and the pathetic Cardassian Galors) Anyway, I will use this thread for general interest, suggestions, etc.
Not really meaning to double post, but this is reserved for any modding questions I've come accross.
First I ran into was I got the game to play after adding the Borg and Feds because that is all I have finished. I filed them the way they should be and recopied a clean install so I could see if everything transfers over and works. As of rite now, the Borg is perfectly good, but if I play as the Feds or if the computer plays as the Feds it crashes at the VERY LAST SECOND of loading to the point where I always think it will start. I haven't been able to figure out what it is for the life of me and it the Borg are working perfectly. All the ODFs seem to check out I haven't changed them in the transfer.
Second - before I transfered to a clean install there was a slight problem with view Admirals Log. I would be able to view it until the techtree got higher than pressing it just crashes the game. Any explanation for this?
Also, something not addressed by the Big Book By modding - the ability to change weapons accuracy is incorrect. It says you simply do:
hitchance = 0.9 "kbattle.odf" 0.95
and they will have different hit chances. I've found the odf for specific ship changes to not have any affect at all. I've tried 0.05 for scouts and destroyers and 100% of torpedoes are hitting them!!!
Other than that, I'll edit this post if I come up with anything new.

I would have said an error in the Ai files (which load near the end), but you said you can't play as them either. So it must be an error in your techtree. Try posting a copy of it here, if you still cant spot the error.
Thanks for the feedback. I looked at the techtree everything looked good and it still crashed. All my trees are the same rite now except for freetech which is just anything obviously. It crashes on every tech level. But yeah ill post it on here if I cant get any other feedback. And again note, this is the LAST thing loaded. The bar is full and the screen is changing over and it crashes. So whatever that is may be the problem I just don't know what loads last.
