While I'm waiting for an answer about the alpha map question for the Excelsior and Miranda, I thought I'd continue with my next planned piece of work. Its based on Terradyhne/SSA's K'T'inga class, and is aimed to mirror the D-7 seen in Enterprise, but with some Romulan spice-ups that are present on its TOS version. Its being prepped to replace the Veles class frigate. Its not finished yet, the nacelles still need tidying up and a few extras need to be editted to make it more like the D-7 rather than the K'T'inga.
However, I need to make a request to someone who can mess around with the model. I need someone to change what filename the model uses for the textures from KD7TMP and KDTMP2 to RD7ENT and RD7Ent2 respectively. Thanks.

Gets the full 10/10 from me ;) The "only" fault I have, is that (from what it appears) you have the Romulan BoP symbol on the underhul (or a symbol of some kind) and it's lightened. The symbols on ships aren't lighted ;) Still, looks good though.
Its not a fault, I did it like that. The D-7 included in your Romulan pack (as well as on the Bird of Prey) had glowing bird of prey decals. I thought it looked neat and decided to do it for here. Although its not very noticable at the angles in the pictures, the symbols towards the end of the wings are also glowing.
i thing that glowing symbols look ugly, the rest of the ship looks very good
Stukov, I never said it was a "fault" in general. I just (in personal preference) wouldn't have it. At the time of the package released on A2Files, I didn't know how to remove it.
I'd like to reiterate that this is not going anywhere if someone cant get me a sod that finds the textures from different filenames specified above. If you can, email it to me at [email]email@example.com[/email] Either way, here's the next update, I've added some more detail to the nacelles, used a whole new texture for the glow, added a Romulan emblem to the front of the ship, removed the glow from the torpedo tubes, and made that red/yellow thing in the middle entirely red.
A version will be done without the glowing symbols.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this..... You need more SOD's?
The model I'm using at the moment uses the textures for KD7TMP.tga and KD7TMP2.tga. All I want is a model that uses the same textures, just under different names: rd7ent.tga and rd7ent2.tga are preferable. In other games, the texture name assignment is done in the model, I'm assuming its the same with Armada II as there is nothing to suggest it is done by the ODF. So, all I want is the same model, but instead of drawing the textures it uses from the filenames KD7TMP.tga and KD7TMP2.tga, it will attempt to draw them from the filenames rd7ent.tga and rd7ent.tga. This will therefore allow the user to have both the original Klingon K't'inga class AND the D-7 I'm doing with different textures. I hope that helps clear that up, and hopefully someone can do that for me.
