I have a few quations about shields. I know to have diffrent shield strength to hull strength you have to change to max shield strength to this //Max Hull And Shield Strength maxShields = xxxx maxHealth = xxxx and if you dont whant your hull or sytems damged you have to add this line shieldProtection = 1 to the ships odf file. But how do you/can you change how much shields can absorb weapon damage before it damages the ship or station.

Hello: I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but in the file RTS_CFG in the root directory, there is this command: float SHIELD_DAMAGE_PROTECTION = 0.8; below //DAMAGE MODEL I hope this is what you are looking for.

enginesHitPercent = 5.0f lifeSupportHitPercent = 4.5f weaponsHitPercent = 5.0f shieldGeneratorHitPercent = 0.0f sensorsHitPercent = 8.0f crewHitPercent = 2.1f hullHitPercent = 80.6f

those may be useful, they determin the chance of different parts of the ship being hit while the shields are raised as I understand it

Hello: I totally agree. All of this reminds me that there is an option that tells you to use weapons' colors based on your team color, so, if you play as Feds with blue team, you'll have blue phasers :)

If your working with A2, check out the photon weapon called "borg shield removing torpedo" the classlabel it has is unused, but if you give it to a standard torpedo, that torpedo will only apply that damage to shields, not hull or systems. I use it for the FMPA Cannon in KA2 :)

Hello: That is truth, I use it as a weapon for the Borg Sphere, but, as Squire James said, you can make it any useful for any race you want.:nodding: Gavin, that option is in the RTS_CFG file in the root directory. go search for: // GAMEPLAY and a bit below it says: // Use team color for normal weapons? int NORMAL_WEAPON_TEAM_COLOR = 0; Its a very fun option, I've used for some plays before I returned to normal colors :p
