Ok, so we know where the sounds are added & edited from (for those that don't its the "Events.DAT" file, which will open up nicely in Notepad. My question is, what are they all for? The "Sound Names" are as follows:
  • Acknowledge
  • Select
  • Attack
  • RedAlert
  • YellowAlert
  • GreenAlert
  • Stop
  • Move
  • Repair
  • Transport

Those being taken from a standard hero ship. Now, Green, Yellow & Red Alert speak for themselves, as does the Transport and Repair. However, I'm a little baffled by some of the others. Select would be for when you click on a ship (or ships), Stop would be for Stopping a ship. Yes? Now we get to the confusing part. "Move", "Attack" & "Acknowledge" - Aren't those the same thing? Ok, I can see that "Attack" would stand out, as it would only be used when actually "attacking", but "Move" and "Acknowledge" are the same thing? You select a ship, tell it to go from A to B and it would both be moving, and Acknowledging your command. So which one is it? :uhm:

The Acknowledging sound plays when you change, say, from High Movement Autonomy to Low Movement, and for changing Special Weapon Autonomy, i think;)

If that is the case, then I shall just have Move & Acknowledge as the same :)

Hello::cya: The Acknowledge sounds plays when you give a ship an order other than move, for example: When you send your ship to explore or to escort somebody else. I think that is the difference between Acknowledge and Move sounds... but some voices tell almost the same so we can get very confused :uhoh: . I hope you find this useful.
