Is there any way I can make special energy recharge when docking to a yard for repairs? I made all torpedoes require special energy in order to fire and I've removed the recharge rate of special energy for all ships with torpedoes.

I have done the same for Creu Chwedl and to my nolige it is imposserble to have a ship recharge its special weapons engery when repairing at a station, however I have created a specail weapon that allows a star base to target a vessel and give it a certion amount of specail weapons engery and at the same time remove that amount of energy from its own special weapons engery reseve, If your instreseted I could post the odf's for you.

wouldn't it be easier to use the borg energy recharger toggle weapon on a station, have it cost 0 special energy and just leave it on. then any ship getting close would get "resupplied"

I tried that for my mod but it didnt seam to work very well but I'd be intrested in HMS Frontiers weapon

Why take it out of the station's special energy? Either your station is overarmed to the point where it can afford to pass along the special energy or you're going to get toasted if you play against a human opponent with that sort of setup. A station with that sort of capability would be my primary target-- I'd hit it with everything I had when it was at 100% special energy and hope like hell another one would take a good long time to build. Or if the station relied on special weapons, play as Klingons, drain a few squadrons of their special energy, force them to go back to said station to recharge, and strike in numbers as soon as the station's energy was too low to make a difference in the carnage that followed.

This, of course, assumes that the station in question isn't some sort of stupefying God-station or, likewise, isn't some useless turret on the fringes. Still, Achilles' idea works much better-- no sense in draining the station's special energy to replenish others'.

@ the starfleet kid I created this for Creu Chwedl and in Creu Chwedl there are no other weapons that use specail weapons engery only torpidoes, and the station would also have phasers to defend its self with, in fact one of the key points is to defend you base of operations but verios outposts can resuppley ships to and stations will have a vast amount of torpidoes been the masive structures they are as shown here Image:USS Enterprise-D approaches an Earth Spacedock type starbase.jpg - Memory Alpha, the Star Trek Wiki here Image:Starbase 375 with ships.jpg - Memory Alpha, the Star Trek Wiki and here [COLOR=black]http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Image:USS_Enterprise_and_USS_Excelsior_in_Spacedock.jpg[/COLOR] also they wont be destroyed as easliy as in the stock game. @firewarrior the weapon is a moddifed version of the borg specail weapons engery recharger I have attached the odf bellow, I have versions verrents of the weapon so small ships can be suppleyed with out giving them so meny torpidoes and large ships can be suppleyed quickly.

Have you tried just seting the recharge very low like .001 per second. the yard might recharge it then.
