Hi Everyone,

Some of you may know that I started work on an STA2 TC called Stargate Evolution....well that project fell through when my laptop blew up on me, and my backup of the data was corrupted :(

This new mod came to me about 4 weeks ago when I started writing a Fan-Fiction of the same name.....unfortunately ive olny just been able to start work on it.

The Mod is set in 2420, many things in the Galaxy have changed (wont go in to details, it will be on the website later today!)

One major thing that I am working on that is almost complete is the Polaris Station....the Polarians are an Ancient Race that were incredibly advanced but extinct race who have left stations all over the galaxy that can be taken over and allow for a ship to be built that can combine with certain ships to give special system upgrades and new special weapons. These stations will be unmanned and as such will need to be taken over and that can be done by any race (except 8472) and when they are taken over, you will be given the ability to build the upgrade module that can then fuse with another ship (1 class per race) to give bonuses.

Actually, I've got something that might interest you: it's station, kitbashed together from a couple of things I found on Battleclinic.com. I have enclosed a screenshot. I was thinking of releasing it as a "Gatekeeper City" map object which, when captured, would enable the player to gate in ships from other universes, for example SW and BSG. The pic is shown with the gate just to show what it would look like when open.

The idea is that, when it is captured, it acts in the same sort of way as the 8472 Fluidic Gate, except that it can warp in ships from other sci-fi universes. My tip of the hat to all this "crossover" stuff. The pic is shown with the gate, even though the gate will be (when the whole thing is finished) a separate object. If you're wondering what the two models I kitbashed are, they are the Kamino City and Subspace Catapult mods, available on Battleclinic.com. Be warned, though: the one I have is poly-reduced (about 6000 polies), while the ones on Battleclinic are, when put together this way, about 11000 polies. Take your pick.

Also, just out of curiosity, could you show us some screens of Polaris Station?

....which galaxy are you talking about? Ours? Trek's? SG's? There are so many to choose from in science fiction.

If I ever release this, I hereby grant you permission to use it in your mod for a crossover. But be warned, I have about 10GB of content left over from my A3 project, so I might not get around to it for a long time.

If you ask nicely, I might be able to pull some stuff out of the A3 leftovers vault for the project. But ask nicely, or I might assimilate you into the Canadian Collective!
