Hello, I was wondering how can you replace the stock starbase with the Starfleet Command Base that's in the Map Editor but not playable?

Simply change the SOD files.

Nope you can't do that, you would have to find out the hardpoint assignments also so you can alter the ODF, or else it would crash. If you have MS3D or some program that can view hardpoints, you can use that to change the ODF for the normal starbase. Or you could possibly look at both ODF's for the starbase and the editor starbase and change them from there.

It can be done. If you import the SOD into MS3D or some other program that can view hardpoints (I'm not sure of any others, but they do exist, maybe Storm3D, but again, I don't know lol) you can list the hardpoints present in the Starfleet HQ model and then adapt the existing ODF for the normal starbase to include those, then rename the SOD to the same as the starbase ODF. And that all probably doesn't make sense lol.

The above would probably work, if not, then you'd need to find the name of the starbase you wish to use (would be Starfleet HQ or something in the .odf file internal name). You'd then need to add this station to your construction ship (instead of the current one), and change a few things in the tech1.tt file..

Replace the Hardpoint locations and scaleSOD info in the fbase.odf with the info in the fbase-HQ.odf

Then add the line: baseName = fbase-HQ

or something like that, though your best of just using achillie's files
