Westworld's Big Book of Modding http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Westworlds_Big_Book_Of_Modding;8835 It shows lots about how to mod and stuff like that...

You would also need 3D studio max 3.0-5.0, or Milkshape 3D, since those are the only 2 3d programs that can export .SOD formats.

Westworld's Big Book of Modding is your best bet but it old and it hard to open. It serialy need to be updated. I have only found one program that can open the sucker. Plus it mostly for a1. Their also if you look around smaller easier to open guides. Like that guide to creating new races ... ect! GL :cya:

Its only a TAR archive (like a ZIP archive, but smaller), any decent program can decompress it.

If you need a free program then you can get 7zip from http://www.7-zip.org/

Here is a Ship i created while trying to get to know milkshape 3d. wanted to make a verson of a ship i found online but this is what came up. no textures or anything else kind of making this into a construction/repair ship for a stargate mod (seems to me the tauri need a construction ship and this will take care of it, it will have a few weapons as well) looks like something they would have, would anyone like to give this ship some textures for me? if not i will try to find some goods ones.

DontaiPlus it mostly for a1.

Not so mate, I use it for A2 and it tells you everything you need to know about modding A2 minus a few things that have only just come out lately like Campaign editting and glows etc.

is that the same as 3ds max by autodesk? or is it a different program? Edit: Here is my Tauri Construction/Repair Ship With some Textures What ya all think? Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at editing and modding. I was wondering if I need a program to edit the techtree.tt and fulltech.tt files? I can view them using Notepad. When I have tried to save the edited file it saves it as a .tt.txt file. Will this work in the game or am I just getting nowhere? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure they are not read only files and I personally use wordpad as it keeps the format, not to sure about notepad.
