I'm in the process of running a Prometheus mod, so far i've got the appropriate files where they need to be except for on minor detail. I have a very complex problem here folks (well complex to me lol) I have a very simple model, all the special weapons and stuff have yet to be added (but one step at a time). I have placed the relevant items in the gui_global ie wireframe and build buttons but so far the only thing that's gettin in my way is matching the tga file to the ship that's needed... So how do i get the wireframe matched up with it's proper texture/RGB file??? Any assistance greatly appreciated Thanks

Okay... Before you do anything else, get Westworlds Big Book of Modding. It's on the A2 FIles site, and will explain pretty much all and every question you might fell the need to ask. Chapter 13 - "Modelling & Texturing with Milkshape" is the one you need. You probably won't ask a question ever again, unless you next problem is "How do I make the Prometheus seperate into three?", in which case you join the queue...
Thanks for the reply........ however another problem i've been having is i'm unable to import any SOD's and i think the download for milkshake is corrupted as i can't get it to install.. Is this the only version floating around out there?? Thanks again Exodus

Go Here: chUmbaLum sOft You can download the latest version of milkshape and the various plugins from there. As for not importing SOD's the milkshape SOD importer only works on stock models. Hope this helps :)
The problem i'm having isn't with the 3D model itself.. During the game the ship builds perfectly however the ship remains pure white (without a skin) All i want to know is how do i get the ship to be built with it's proper texture? Do i need to name the TGA file a certain way? What am i doing wrong?

Usually the texture used on a ship is named after the SOD, i.e. fbattle1.tga, fbattle2.tga and so on. So you might need to find the original texture and make sure its name hasn't been altered, or else the SOD won't know what texture to use since it can't find it. Or you'd have to find some way to import the model and align the texture/assign the texture yourself.

Didn't the Prometheus mod come with instructions for installing the ship? A blank ship could mean that you haven't placed the texture files (tga files) inot the proper folder. These gop in the \Textures\RGB folder.
