Some of you may have seen the film Star Trek: Nemesis. You know, the one with the big Reman dingbat called the Scimitar? Well, what might happen to the Remans after the film? Well, I think there will be a massive riot going on back at Romulus... wink.gif

After the destruction of the first Scimitar prototype by the Enterprise-E with the assistance of the Romulans, the Remans started revolting against the Romulan Senate because of their involvement of destroying the Reman ship. Many Remans have fled Remus to a faraway system and began building their fleet with their own designs and weaponry as well as some (not all) of the technology and ship designs stolen from the Romulans, hoping that one day they will be free from Romulan control and take back what's theirs: the planet Remus.

The features for this race include:

  • A whole new race to play with, complete with tons of new stuff.
  • Three Remanized Romulan ships. (Shrike, Raptor and Venetor Class)
  • Theleron weaponry of different kinds.
  • A music track taken directly from Star Trek: Nemesis and edited to use as the music when playing as the Remans. The first one, to be exact.
  • The super weapon for the Remans is... THE SCIMITAR CLASS WARBIRD! biggrin.gif
  • And if you've got good modding skills, you may be able to play this race against other custom races such as the Dominion, the Breen, the Ferengi or even the Tholians!

Oh, and here's a pic of some of the finished models you will see in the mod, just to be an evil teaser!

Here's a list of ships (not stations) that will appear in the mod. Ships that are not done or not worked on by me will have the name of the respective creators.

Non-Combat:

Construction Ship Dilithium Freighter Repair Ship Colony Ship

Combat:

Raven Class (Scout) Shrike Class (Destroyer) Reaper Class (Destroyer) Fused Reaper Class (Destroyer) Praetor Class (Cruiser, original by Pepperman) Hellhawk Class (Cruiser, original by Icewolf132) Raptor Class (Artillery) Corvus Class (Assault) Vampire Class (Frigate) Spectre Class (Science) Venator Class (Battleship) Nightwing Class (Battleship) Scimitar Class (Super Weapon, original by Bryan)

New updates will be available once I get round to it, but for now enjoy and imagine to destroy! FOR REMUS, AND FOR FREEDOM!

Well, I don't think anyone saw this coming, and I must say, it looks promising. I'd try (if able) to find a few better models. I know for a fact there is a better Griffin and Shrike out there, not too sure on the Raptor though. Will be keeping my eye on this one though, take my word for it. ;) Great start too.

I know Achilles made a great Shrike, and there is one over at Battleclinic the same one MAP used in this BIVR mod. There is also a great looking Raptor on the above mentioned site but is way to high in pollies. Using some better looking models this mod could be great and a real favourite for those TNG era mods out there. Thats really my only critic on this project. Perhaps a overhaul of the stock models may make improve that. But this mod is a great idea, for oo long have the REmans been ignored or just been a cheaply tacked onto with the Romulans.

Personally, I think the Reman textures look better on the stock ships, but I guess that part's just a matter of personal taste, no offence. Also, as most models and stuff are going to be made by myself (except for three that so has to be going in the mod) I probably won't be likely to use different models for the Remanized Romulan ships.

Yea I don't think that one went quite right. Looks like MS3D nerfed it.

Yeah, I can only edit stock textures, making my own is beyond me, so if anyone can help me with that it would be really good. Also, I seem to have a problem with getting most of the SODs ingame. Well, they do work ingame, but not as I intended, as they appear in the wrong color or will appear at the wrong angle and they don't look right. If anyone more expert in modelling for Armada 2 can help me with this then I shall give my thanks. In addition I will send in all of the models I have done so far via PM in both ms3d and SOD format to be checked out and fixed.

may I sugest you read a few books Titan - "Taking Wings" Captains - Glory Captains - Blood Captaisn - Peril as they all deal with the Remans and there ties to the romulans and the impacts they have had to the alpha quadrent, if nothing else it may help you with info in the odfs
