Whilst I gets the hang of modelling, I had another idea which uses the Romulans. I am overhauling the entire Romulan fleet and stations. Would people be interested in a re-worked Romulan side? :uhm: But does any-one have a Valdore class? The ones on the site cause problems. (or I'd ask the creators for permission to use them but one crashes the game because it's too high poly and the other has a missing texture on the nose.) Would any-one like to contribute with a valdore they'd let me use in the mod? It'll be called: Armada: Lost Inheritance! (I won't give away too much now) Remans and Tal-Shair will feature too. I really like the Romulans! I hope to make missions too but that'll be much later (one thing at a time!) It will be mostly stock items but not all the ships will be there - they are going to have a huge shake up! Be afraid, be very afraid - the Romulans are coming! :greenflame:

oh would help but i dont have the time, but one thing i worked out how to get around the nose probelm. if u give me a listen of the textures you have i will give u the missing one.

Here are some Romulans for you. These are all for A1 but as you know the model and textures will work just fine in A2. You'll need to make new odf, wireframes and build buttons. I would love to see a Romulan Warbird of P81 quality.

Then again, my Armada is about to self-destruct, from all the hi-res models I have in it...well, at least I'll die happy!

Hard_Damage. There is one that LC did a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the poly count is just a tad over what I would consider stable for ANY RTS game, no matter how powerful the hardware was (it sits at around 12,000 polys). You probably won't see a more accurate model either.

You're quite right, that level of detail is obscene! :-)

Like you said elsewhere, detailed textures are probably more effective and efficient than a detailed wireframe.
