I want to make an artillery tricobalt torpedo weapon like a special weapon based on the plasma bank odf from the Keldon class. The only problem I've got is that the torpedo does not explode or explode near my ship when I fire it. Impossible to lock on the target I've chosen!

Why not just base your weapon off of the plasma bank overload or even the ion cannon of the klingons? You would look at the ion cannon for inspiration. Just change everything around to be the torpedo instead of the cannon and increase the range.

Always the same problem when I lock on a target the torpedo goes on the way without exploding. If I fire my torpedo to space it explode in close proximity to my ship.

This was one of the unresolved issues we encountered in the last 34 mod (calling it by its full name so frequently makes me feel like I'm advertising it or something equally dirty and selloutish), and it was really bothering me that it happened. I don't know how it is that stock artillery torps have a proximity burst when mine are coded exactly the same way!
