and it's not working
I'm trying to make a variation of the corbomide reflector for the Krenim timeship.
My problem is this;
I've edited all three main odf files related to the reflector to my Krenim shield specs, i've created the three textures and sod, added all of the entries for the weapon in tech1.tt fulltech.tt and gui_global.spr, but when I run the game, the weapon still shows up as the C. reflector. Even all of the tool tips I wrote in the ODF's show the C. Reflector and not my Temporal Shield.
Argh! This is annoying me! Anyone have any ideas?
have you made copies of the relevent files in the special weapons folder?.. and then edited them and the files they link to? these weapon files contain tooltips as well.. thats probably where your getting the old weapon text appearing from.

Yeah, I made copies of the three special weapon's files related to the C. Reflector, edited all three to make it the temporal shield, and it's still not working... The worst part is, is that the old sod for the C. Reflector is still coming up, I guess the new files are link somewhere else other than in the odf's and sprites.

I've already done that... changed the textures in the sod to my new shielding, and renamed it to the appropriate name for the weapon.
i would suggest moving the orinigal files to desktop, and then renaming them. Then change the names of your new ones to the same as the C refelctor and test them on the sov. Then see if they come up as you want Not sure what help that would do. But at least you would know it works.
