Right, i have written this tutorial to tell people how to put glows onto there models with Milkshape 3D. I have had several people asking me how to do it since they have asked me about my Piranha Class. Before I Get Started I Would Like to thank the Following People: Greathor - For Making The Glow Materials, They Came With His Excelsior Refit. Chiletrek - For Nagging Me To Make this:D Major Payne - For The Hardpoint Tutorial Also here are the Requirements You need to download the attached file, it is a simple texture and a sprite file, made by Greathor, I think:) Right, here we go.... Open your model up in Milkshape and hardpoint it, if you dont know how to do this, use this tutorial http://armada2.filefront.com/info/maptut When you have done that Select the h_lights node and create a new one linking off of that and rename it s_redglow_01 Then Continue this process 5-6 times naming them s_redglow_02 s_redglow_03 etc,etc, Then Do the same for the Other Nacelle, Impulse, Warp dont forget to put the nodes where your impulse and warp engine's are on the model, you dont want glows floating around everywhere:rolleyes: These are where you should put the nodes(Please Note i am using my Piranha Class As An Example as these are where the Impulse And Warp Engines Are) Hps-1.jpg Then When You've Done That, Save It as an MS3D file so you can change things on it if you muck It Up, then once you've saved it, export it into Sod Format into the A2 Sod Directory, then open it up in the Storm3d Viewer and see what it looks like. If you have made a mistake, open up the file you saved before and edit it until you get it right Note: You will have to get the hang of this so Dont Give Up after the first time, and no doubt ive missed something so do tell if i have. Also Make sure you get the attched file or it will not work, and if the Attached File Doesnt Work, i will get in touch with either Ash, Joel or Freyr and see if they can upload it onto Armada2Files. I;ll get a glow color guide together so people can add different colors without having to make them themselves. I'll post it tomorrow :)

here this is what i do, to get the color glows i want. http://www.pitt.edu/~nisg/cis/web/cgi/rgb.html that is a page listing all the RGD color codes, what u do is, divide each of those numbers by 256 and put that into ur RGB slot in the spirit file. that way u get full strength colors, and can easily see what numbers will get u which colors, hope this helps ColdDarkParanoia
