Ok well I was following Westworlds big book of modding on how to change the odf files and I accidently made the file a wordpad file and I didnt back up the folder before doing this. Is there a way I could turn it back into an odf file and try again?

First off, always back up your ODF file's somewhere safe. You will at one point make a mistake which could leave you having to reinstall.

Learning by your mistakes is the best way, when I started modding the original Armada back when it first came out about 8 years ago there were no tutorials so I learnt by my mistakes. I have always believed that its the best way to learn.

Odf tools are ok, but you'll find that learning to do it in notepad (which is better for odfs than wordpad) is better in the long run for more complicated modding involved in large projects.
