I just rememebered that the Reman Warbird Scimitar had a near perfect cloaking system that it wasn't easily detected by the Enterprise-E. Is there a way to make a cloaking device undetectable by Tachyon Grids in Armada 2? I know this is a simple odf-type mod. But what do you need to add/do to acheive this?

Use the phase clock as that cant be detected.
Good idea but how do you disable the "phasing" of the ship?

Actually, the phase cloak can be detected. You just can't do anything about it.
On the cloaking thing, I don't think its possible to just detect a cloaked ship for federation vessels. They certainly were never able to detect warbirds when cloaked in the Enterprise D. Or even an 80 year old scout that blew it to bits come to that...
I didn't make it!
Agreed, the only time they could detect them was when LaForge rigged the Tachyon Detection Grid, which isn't as A2 would have you believe, a single ship device. Its more like a Radar network, with many sensors, probes, starships and stations all keeping a sharp eye out for any spikes in Tachyon Radiation. As for you request, I don't think there is any way you can make one type of cloak undetectable. You either remove the Tachyon Grids completely, so all cloaks are undetectable, or your Schimitars cloak is just as detectable as the next mans.
Thanks for the info guys, it was only an idea to make the scimitar much harder to find :)

Yeah, the AI cheats (as Major Payne always says) and it can always see anything, it simply can't act upon that. Same with the "gpcloak" special weapon. It's not that you can't detect it --tachyon in game means ANY ship can ALWAYS see through cloak-- but phase cloak simply means they can't act upon it. And even area-of-effect weapons like artillery don't affect the target.

I was thinking though, would the transporter work against phase cloaked ships? It does against normally cloaked ships, and there are plenty of examples in A2 where there are tiny little bugs. Like the blue nebulae, you can't hit a ship inside one with a phaser or a photon, but a tricobalt torp fired from outside can still detonate and kill ships inside the nebula.
