I'm trying to control the AI special forces movement by using the .txt file that the editor creates once a .bzn file is saved. Is there a guide or something to show how someone would use a .txt file for a map?
As you picked up, the editor creates those text files. They don't contain movement information for the AI.
The AI can be made to move using paths, but currently the only working examples of this are in the campaign and nobody knows how to edit the .DSL/.DRL files used for scripting in the campaign.

This is just a thought and a long one at that but has anyone ever tried turning all debuging functions in the RTS config file and then running the editor?
