Hi!

I have a question: If I mod a file (for example I edit a klingon ship without cloak to having one) and then copy exactly this file to the other PCs in a LAN, why does Armada II tell us, when we try to start a game, that we are in usage of different versions?

Does anyone have an idea, how to solve that? ^^ If yes, please tell me.

Maybe you have done something else different on your computer than the others. My LAN doesnt say that.

copy the whole game to the other computer, then you have not the problem to find the mistake.

FahreS @ -=WiCKeD=-HARKERcopy the whole game to the other computer, then you have not the problem to find the mistake.

We tried even that and it did not work. But the bizarre thing is: We copied back the backups of the original files. Even then it said "different versions".

Then all of us took one CD (before, everyone used his own) for all installations and created images on the hard disks. Actually, that worked o.O All Armada II has been patched to 1.1 => worked, too.

I don't get it. Everyone used an original Armada II German 1.0, what did not work. But copying one game to isos worked after all...

Giving the edited file to everyone worked now, too.

It is bizarre to have to copy a game (which isn't a real problem, as all own an original copy) to get it work on LAN *lol*

But thanks for all your answers!!!
