Hi all.

The battlestar armada team just recently got a viper mk.7 to use.

The only problem is, no one can get it to work, even when all hp's, odf's, textures are all done.

If anyone can help us get this model working, pm me

Is the problem with the the game. Check if it is working by using storm3d viewer. If it shows up then it is a problem with the game.

I've had this problem with a Ferengi Marauder before.. Was the model from SFC3 before you converted it by any chance?

it may have been....... the ship crashes the SOD viewer when u load it.

That is the same thing that happened with this marauder of mine (though I haven't given up on it yet). I converted it from SFC3, and though the conversion seemed to have went well, the minute you put it into something that should run it (I simply replaced the stock Marauder and changed some .odf stuff to compensate) but it crashed. Again, the same happened in Storm3D viewer. One would think it is a fault conversion, but it isn't. My only guess is that there is somehow something connected to the model (that we don't know about) that is playing up.

My models crash the game if i had done something with the hardpoints wrong.

ok, I think Im gonna redo the whole joint system, and c what that does. Edit: nope, that wasnt it. I just removed all joints to see if the model would load in the viewer (I know u wouldnt see anything) but it still crashed...... Im gonna ask for the model to be converted again.

Possible... There is bound to be a wayaround the problem, it's just finding out what the problem is, and then correcting the error. Any model (providing you have the right programs and plugins and such) can be converted for any game. It's just knowing how. A simple SFc - A2 conversion is easy (I have done many) - All my Cardassian Vessels for Zero Hour are from SFC3, and they all work fine. I got the Marauder from the same place, and this gave me a problem. One of which I haven't yet been able to work out. Do you do the converting yourself?
