Are the voice overs for Picard is that hard wired or can you make custom voice overs commands for ships without overwriting the original voice commands

Yes you can make custom voice overs. You simply have to replace the sound files in the Armada 2/sounds/voiceover/cineractive. :P If you mean the sounds the ship makes when you select them then yes you can, by simply changing that in the events file.

I was using option one but wanted to go more on the idea I found it right before I read the post. Since I am in the event is there a way to put a command for a race specific transporter sound I cant believe it wouldnt be able to be changed.

Yeah, depends what ship it's for. Because there's several Federation ones I think. It's simply a matter of locating and replacing.

EDIT: But yes, events is for the individual ships when in-game which can be replaced in the in-game sounds folder. But for the the actual talking the Borg, Federation, and Klingon do in Single Player it's the cineractive folder.

Just open the events.dat file (main armada and armada 2 dir) and edit it there, placing the new sounds in the correct sound folder. Then add the entires to either your individual ship (eg, fent.odf, fcruise1.odf) or to the base ship file (eg, battle.odf, cruise1.odf etc).

The general transporter sound in the stock its the same for anytime you beam like the warp sounds can those be changed say anytime you beam using the borg making it the borg beam instead of every race haveing the typical transporter sound.
