Alright, I think this is pretty self-explainitory, but still. I am working on a goauld hatak weapon, there are 4 weapon hardpoints, and they all fire at the same time. I would like them all the fire at different times, and none at the same time. I figured that if I placed the

"shotDelay = 2.0"

under the weapon names, in the ship, then that would work, but it did not. Then I figured, maybe its the weapon odf that is overiding it, so i removed that line from the weapon odf, but still there is no delay. If you can think of any other way this might work, I would really appreciate it.

make 4 odf's and set them for diffrent times they will still fire the same biggining shot but after that they will differ

They usually end up different after they fire continuously anyhow. Of course, this isn't what he's trying to accomplish.

Yeah, Im pretty sure that this wont work out. Ive tried everything that I can think of. If anyone can think of anything else, that does not require more odf, please let me know.

=/ i dont think it is possible outside of making more ODFs... unless u could somehow randomize the shot delay within certain values and i dont think thats possible either

There is a Species 8472 weapon that has a delay before firing, but this isn't exactly what you want. It would prevent all the weapons from firing at the same time I believe. It may only work for a certain special weapon class that the weapon is in, but it may be possible to apply it to a pulse.

I think either the frigate or maybe the behemoth uses the weapon. You might try asking Freyr, since he seems to know a lot about the weapons from the multiplayer perspective.

Anyway, the weapon is supposed to have a timed delay before firing. A sort of warm-up or charging period.

thats something similar to what i am looking for, but do you think that there is anyway to still make them ire randomly? like add more delay times ect?

Anyway, the weapon is supposed to have a timed delay before firing. A sort of warm-up or charging period.

Thats the bio pulse conduict special on the frigate when charged by 4-8 battleships. I don't know what you can do with the ODF's, but it comes out as a beam rather than a pulse.

If that dosen't work what about having 4 different weapons with different recharge rates? Instead of having a 1.0 second delay on all of them have a .8, .9, 1.0, & 1.1 recharge rate?
