ok i could be wrong, but i could have sworn that when your transporting your crew over to a ship/station, that the other ships would stop shooting at it. i was in an insta action game and i saw a criped ship (damaged) and it was a battle ship so .... meh why not so i send 4 defi class ship over to take it, i then start to transpot. i then send an attack fleet over to their base thou they must pass this ship im trying to take over, as my fleet of soves go by .... THEY START TO SHOOT AT THE SHIP, i almost had it to. so the ship was destroyed ect. how can i fix this or do i need to get some kind of patch for that? (i know this was not a prob for armada 1)

Nuke their brains, or in otherwords, set their AI down in the Brain Icon menu, ingame.

No. Not really, because you've not actually taken over that craft so its still in enemy hands.

I run my fingers down the left side of the numberpad 7,4,1 so basically they stop moving, stop attacking and stop using special weapons. Just don't leave them like that or they'll be defenceless.

In A1, ships were harder to destory once thier shields were down in A2 they die really easily once the shields are gone

Well if you go by normal terms in real life (or the sci-fi world), boarding actions aren't always successful, even with alot of men on one side. So if the boarding fails (i.e. trying to take a tactical cube with weapons online with 4 defiants is useless), you'll still want to destroy or cripple the ship further so it doesn't pose a threat. I guess the idea was just behind the game, OR the AI was just not made for it (<-- most likely)

well like i said, i do remember that the AI in armada 1 would not fire at a ship what was being boarded unless told to. *i think*
