Well, before I get started, I'd like to say that this isn't an 'Official Update'. That will come at the end of January, or beginning of February depending upon progress and such.

The purpose of this post is to simply let everyone know the Hero Units within the project, and to also update them on the storyline and the Zero Hour Team Status.

##################################################

Anyhow, as everyone should by now know, the project is going to be released in three stages. The first stage will be the Federation, Klingon Empire, and Cardassian Union. The storyline for this takes place during the Klingon - Cardassian War. The Hero Units for the first release are as follows:

 • Federation: Admiral Alynna Nechayev, Excelsior Class, USS Repulse
 • Klingon: Chancellor Gowron, Vor’cha Class, IKS BortaS
 • Cardassian: Gul Skrain Dukat, Galor Class, UB Prakesh

##################################################

Then we move onto the second release, which adds an additional three races to the project. These three new additions are the Romulan Star Empire, the Dominion, and the Breen Confederacy. The storyline for the second release takes place during the Dominion War itself. The Hero Units for this are:

 • Federation: Admiral William J Ross, Intrepid Class, USS Bellerophon
 • Klingon: General Martok, B’rel Class, IKS Rotarran
 • Cardassian: Gul Corat Damar, Galor Class, UB Alkesh
 • Romulan: Senator Gavon, D’Deridex Class, IRW Vindicator
 • Dominion: Weyoun, Bug Class, 1st Ship, 1st Wing, 1st Division
 • Breen: Thot Gor, Bekar Class

##################################################

And finally, the third (and final) release. This will be the end of Zero Hour, at least, the Modification of it. This will add a final two races, one of which is the Borg Collective, and the other is... Well, I'm not telling you :p Though I can say that nobody will see it coming, and they fit right in with the overall storyline too. The Hero Units for this:

 • Federation: Admiral Owen Paris, Excelsior Class Refit, USS Hyperion
 • Klingon: General C’tan, Bekta Class, IKC Mogh
 • Cardassian: Gul Kattell Damar, Keldon Class, UB Corat
 • Romulan: Admiral Sela, D’Deridex Class, IRW Vreenak
 • Dominion: Eris, Bug Class, 1st Ship, 1st Wing, 1st Division
 • Breen: Thot Guinn, Bekar Class
 • Borg: Borg Queen, Diamond

I haven't included the Hero Unit for the eighth race for obvious reasons.

##################################################

Where everyone fits in will come to you at a later date, for now, all you've got is speculation and imagination. Also, whilst I am here, I would like to announce that the Zero Hour team count has gone up.

Earlier last week, we welcomed Avon to the team. A fairly new member of the community, who started his fame with the Caretaker Ship Package. Thus, his skill has already been proved, and he will no doubt be a valuable asset to the team.

Looks good Ash, though in the Kling/Card war Gowron has the IKS Negh'Var the first Negh'Var as his ship. It was seen in the Way of the Warrior a DS9 episode, the same one that has Worf joining the series. Never the less it's sounding great. But how are you going to do the voices?

However, at the time of the first release, it'll be before and during the Klingon - Cardassian War. The Sovereign Class ships weren't around at that point. Maybe they were in building, but they weren't anywhere near completion.

The Negh'Var was the flag ship yeah, but it never said that it was Gowrons ship. I'd like to think that he still has the BortaS. Besides, the Negh'Var / Voodieh is the toughest ship in the game, I don't want my Hero's having the best ships. :)
But how are you going to do the voices?

I have many episodes. :) I'll just record from them. Some of them, such as the Romulan Senator and other Klingon General I've already got sorted ;) - I can't say much more without giving some secrets away. As with any project, you want a few surprises with it.

I hadn't thought about doing a campaign for the first two releases. The reason being, we know the outcome of both. Whilst it would be nice to have a campaign for them, it would be very time-consuming for the me and the team. Instead, I plan to have a campaign for the third release (it might be that I release the campaign after the third release). The future has yet to be written, so it makes sense to have the campaign on that. :) If needs be, and I get enough intake, I can create a campaign for the other two releases after, giving you the option in Campaign Mode to select the time frame or something. We'll see how it goes. :)

We can do it, and i dont mind learning how to create the campaign. I can create really cool maps, in my opinion, so i can do that part of it if needs be?

Maps wouldn't be a problem, they are easy to do, and I've got a selection already done (though they need tinkering due to new map objects). But if you think you can do campaigns, then by all means, go for it  I'll speak to you in about 10 years time :p But seriously, how much do you know about them so far?
