What is the policy on converting stock BC ships for release? Because ive seen some on a2files and was wondering if i have to ask someone if i can use them. I need to know promptly.

TO my knowledge you should be fine with just indicating where the original ones came from.

From my experience, its always best to ask the creator to convert their ships, otherwize there could be a confrontation in which the origional creator would win hands down. This if you want to release it to the public.

For personal use though, you shouldn't have a problem

The thing is Greathor, is this is a different kettle of fish. He's not askign about 3rd party models, but rather the stock BC ones.

If you wish to convert them, the credits should go to the developers team that made the models. If you can't find that out, "ST:BC Developers" will do, but try and put some effort into finding out who. Other than that, I can't see the problem. It's just the same if you were, say, converting something from SFC3.
