Righty, as it requires minimal modding knowledge to get a campaign working (of which ive done before) in comparison to creating ships (or at least in my opinion), i have decided to create a new story for STA2. First gonna ask for mods/models id like permission to use, then underline the story. I'd like the use of: The Freespace 2 mod (Majorly needed). Dominion Ultimate mod (The upto date version with the buildings add on). Various models (that i will specify later, little short on time to cross reference for names now). The rest: Most of the story is under raps, but planned out. You can read my idea on the campaign here (its pretty long): http://forums.filefront.com/armada-i-ii-discussion/316994-new-campaign-idea.html#post3722964 .There will be 4 campaigns (Each one to replace one of the original and the tutorial), One of the federation (And, dont jump to conclusions, im not having the federation playing off against the borg and shivans, and infact, i have something in store for them... However, they will not play the un-federation agressive role they did in STA2 either). The GTVA (In the same way that the shivans are really from the ST universe, these guys have a back story, and no, they are NOT from the ST universe too), The Shivans (Once again, theres a back story that im keeping under raps), and the borg (Nother back story, but it kinda involves the omega particle (though not as a major point), and obviously their wish to assimilate the shivans... but who didnt see that coming?). The only problem I see with this is if you're asking to include the whole mods within yours. The reason is, if you include (and don't link to) other mods, then the creators mods don't get downloaded and end up just sitting there. If you link to them, it's good for all as it can revitalize their mod as well as introducing yours with established favorites. But if you want to use certain models to be included as map units, (and still link to their mods) that'll be the permission you need to get from the creators and should be fine. Or, if you just want permission to make their mods requirements to get yours to work, that's fine too.

Erm, actually, i havent started work yet, am pending permission. And incase i didnt make this clear, its JUST going to be a single player capaign. The kind where on the the review before download, itll say, you need the mods pre-installed, blah blah. Its blatent plagery if i just used the mods, and i love the freespace 2 mod, so definately wouldnt do that.

Can you please by any chance tell me what files are needed to edit the campaigns or say to get rid of the Tutorial and to create my own campaign? This might be a cool idea to incorporate into my own Personal Mod that maybe if I can get permissions for everything that I have added to actually upload it for everyone else to try, that is after I know that it works perfectly.

Just start working on your mod. Making a new campaign from scratch needs far more time than getting the permissions, so you'll get them before you could finish the work ;) And I'm almost absolutely sure that the modders will grant you the permission to use their work. Here the exception is when they not grant it for some reason, so don't worry.
