On several ships including the stock ones, part of the ships disappear or get distorted. The star base face slopes down words. I assumed it was me and i got used to seeing it, but im getting sick of it. I'm pretty sure it my video card which is well weird since it fairly old.
check you have an up to date version of directx, tinker with the graphics settings, and if non of that fixes it, then you MAY need a better graphics card.

Is there any chance you could post a picture of the problem?
here some test pics (Btw isuck taking pics)
Not sure what (if anything) is wrong in the pic of the menu, but what you're seeing in the Dom base and (possibly) the Sovy is the high and low rez models. The stock game (and some modded) was set up to display the models at a lower resolution when you're farther away. To save your system and reduce lag when you're zoomed out. There are settings in the RTS_CFG.h file that you can change to control the switch level. If that's not what you're talking about, let me know. Also, is the lat neb supposed to be over the base, or is that a problem too?
Actully, the menu was to show were i got the dominion, since i assumed you were going ask if model was low rez and the lat neb was map glitch. The problem is when i zoom out part of my ship litterly disappear. So, yes, the proplem that i'm having is the Dom base and yes the Sovy. So, it sound like your right. I will go check out the settings in the RTS_CFG.h file. Thank for reply mabey now i can put my mind to rest.
No problem. Let me know if it's fixed.
not fixed cant find any thing to change it in the RTS_CFG.h
Sorry, man. The file you want is ART_CFG.h, not RTS_CFG.h. And the settings you're looking for are the ones associated by this: CLIPPING_PLANE I've never tried to edit them, but please let me know if it works.
Didn't work. All CLIPPING_PLANE does is make it were when your this far away ( ) your ship vanishes completely.:( :bawl: thanks for trying any way.
