I didn't make it!
For some reason I can not connect to the gamespy server. when I get to the gamespy login screen in the game and click login, I get an error message after about 20 seconds saying "Cannot connect to gamespy server. (check your internet connection.)" but I turned off my firewall, set security settings to low, and my internet connection is obviously working fine. I am currently attending the University of Alaska Anchorage and I am using their internet connection. I have also tried to play the game on two different computers. assuming that it has to do with the University's server or something, is there a particular kind of tech person I should get a hold of, and if so, what should I tell them?

hiya mate do you know what the uni's policy is on playing game. if they say you can't then they will have blocked some ports that armada 2 need to go online. if they allow you to play games then just call or visit the IT help desk tell them what the problem is and ask for help

Its the firewall your uni has. If games are allowed then you need to look for a file called something along the lines of nethelp.txt in the armada 2 directory.
I wouldn't get your hopes up though, I wouldn't be opening up ports for anyone if I were them. You might get around it by using a http tunnel but that may well upset your IT department if they are smart enough to figure out what your doing.
