Hi I've downloaded "Ghosts_Comp_mod" which has "Deep Space Nine - Model and Texture: by Nineof9". Station works fine untill it trys to fire its weapons, the game crashes and returns to windows. I've put all the weapons odf files in, i've checked to see if its spelt correct, still nothing, so I put normal star base weapons as we know they work, and still don't work, If any one can help i'd be greatful.

It's the sprites that aren't working. Either there is a missing reference, or the texture itself is missing. Check you weapon.spr file for the starbase sprites. Also look at the starbase weapon's ordinance file. Find out the name of the sprite it uses, and check weapon.spr. If it is missing, then you have a problem. If it is there, then the texture is missing. If you cannot find the texture or the reference, then change which sprite the weapon's ordinance uses.

It could also be that there are hardpoints missing, but that seems unlikely, as that would cause an immediate crash upon construction.

It all seems to be where it should be, I gave DS9 the same weapons as my starbase, built them on the same game, I fired the starbase weapons and it works but soon as I try fire DS9`s weapons it crashes again, Witht the same weapons as the starbase.

It is possible that there are some hardpoints assigned to the weapon in the stations ODF which aren't exist at all. This could be a problem.

That wouldn't be it, because that would cause a crash as soon as it was built. I had this same problem with the Reman Rebellion pack. With the sprites, that is. I eventually changed all the weapons to use the Romulan sprites, and that was the end of it.

..wow...this really boggles the mind doesn't it? :p I have this station from Ghost a very long time and although I do admit having my game crash on me the first time I used it but that was because of a faulty weapon name input(I never had any problem with that station ever since). Since your using your other stations weapons for the DS9 station, it should be working. You know theres a remote possibility that your game might be glitching for some reason. Check around(how is your PC memory, has your PC been running like ten hour straight, do you have any other programs running, etc)...;)..

I use my computer for 10 hours straight whenever I can, and I never have any problems with A2, or any other game for that matter, even in the evening. I still say you are missing the weapons sprites because of the comp mod replacing the weapons. spr file.

..well it's either that or he made some previous changes that he's not telling us about(or forgotten). On the other hand I seriously doubt that it's the sprites because he's using a weapon that already works.....

A mod that large might accidentally overwrite some sprites, simply due to the forgetfulness of the author, and we would not have any way to know until we tested. I would bet that the starbase pulse is one of them.
