i downloaded armada 2 a while ago, cause in holland u can't buy it anywhere :(
when i try to play on multiplayer, then it shows this message:
"your externally known ip address differs from your local ip address(es). this may prevent other people from seeing games that u create, any may cause you difficulty joining games."
when i create a game, no one joins. And when i try to join a game it says "the host has a different version"
i tried patching it, but it doesn't help, i also didn't mess up any of the files
anyone knows what i can do about this? i would love to play armada 2 on multiplayer, cause i played armada 1 for a long time
The reason you can't play online is that your using a hacked downloaded version instead of a legitimate version. To play online you need a legitimate copy of Armada II patched to version 1.1.
If you later manage to get yourself a legitimate copy, the file "nethelp.txt" contains a list of the ports that need forwarding from your router to your PC to play armada II online.
We aren't able to support hacked copies of the game, doing so is forbidden by the site rules.
Freyr sums it up nicely. Please refrain from trying to get help for a pirated game here, or you will be banned. Consider this your first and only warning.
If you must have the game, buy it from an online retailer; many of them ship to Holland.
