How do you add maps to Armada 2 Demo? And thanks for the help with adding the ships. It works great now. But how do you add maps to the demo since it doesn't have a map menu select screen in the Instant Action?

You go to e-bay and buy the full game. That should do it.

Ya know, this is exactly the sorta stuff this here community don't need. If all you can post is a lame joke which fails so miserably instead of help, maybe you shouldn't post at all. Consider yourself reported, Stanny.
On to better things. chris_hotrod2000, I have not ever played or D/L'd the demo, so I am not sure how to add in new maps. However, this link may help:

He's right, though.
Demos typically don't have any support for third-party files, due to the implications and concerns it would cause, not least of which is exponentially boosting the demo's filesize, and wasting the developer's time by coding third-party plugin support twice (since changes almost always occur between demo and retail releases, meaning the demo's plugin support usually won't be compatible with the retail version, and will need recoding).
Overwriting the demo's pre-existing assets files is possible, yeah, but not adding new stuff. If you want to add new content to a demo, nine times out of ten you need to either modify the demo itself, somehow devise a program which will allow making mods compatible with the demo, or possibly both.
(And what's so bad about a little sass here and there? Sarcasm doesn't kill anyone, you know. Although either way, that's for Joel and Gav to decide, not you or me.)
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I agree completely with your remark about 'sass'. I may have gone a little overboard. I have gotten spoiled by the people in the A2 Files Community and the tone of the remark in question was not something I am accustomed to seeing here.
Thinking on it further, if the A2 Demo allows an Instant Action game to be played, then adding new maps should be fairly easy. It will have all the necessary files and folders in place already. If the demo only allows someone to play some of the Single Player Campaign missions then adding in new maps may not be possible. Adding maps to the demo is an interesting idea. I am thinking of investigating further to see if it is doable. Freyr has done some things with the demo, IIRC. I'll check with him before I go tilting at windmills, ;)

@mikouen: THIS game does allow the demo to be tweaked. so your remark regarding the demos usebility was - sorry to say that- wrong. and because I do have a clue about the prices of an a2 copy at the online shops, I too find the remark "go and buy it" for a noob somewhat unhelpful. but i cant tell if that remark was just sarcastically or showed helplessness.
@thunderfoot: hold your horses, man :). If the admins react on every sassy remark or what they think is one, a lot of us here (and foreigners especially) would get smacked a lot too often.....

I must admit I agree. I've lost count how many times I've been a newcomer to a forum, asked a question, only to be slapped down by some unhelpful know-it-all. Very often I dont bother going back. Rather unneccesary really:rolleyes:

Hmmm... I downloaded the demo for this reason one time...and I couldn't play the game even with the smallest change, such as adding 10 more crew to a ship.
