Is the armada 1 game hidden in the armada 2 game, the reason I ask this, as I was editing the "label" file to alter missions for my DS9 Dominion War MOD, and I came across the following text just below the A2 missions:- _______________________________ + fed1.bzn {Premonitions} + fed2.bzn {Paradise Revisited} + fed5.bzn {Vendetta} + fed3.bzn {Dark Omens} + fed4.bzn {TEST FOR ART} + kling3.bzn {To the Gates of Sto'Vo'Kor} + kling1.bzn {The Enemy Within} + kling4.bzn {A Good Day to Die} + kling2.bzn {Broken Ties} + kling5.bzn {Gray Eminence} + rom2.bzn {Cloak and Dagger} + rom4.bzn {Call to Power} + rom3.bzn {The Gauntlet} + rom1.bzn {Retribution} + rom5.bzn {Unholy Alliances} + borg1.bzn {Resurrection} + borg3.bzn {Assimilation} + borg4.bzn {Extermination} + borg2.bzn {Day of Reckoning} + borg5.bzn {The Twilight Hour} + finale2.bzn {Time after Time} + finale4.bzn {Once and Again} + finale3.bzn {Strange Bedfellows} + finale1.bzn {A Line in the Sand} + finale5.bzn {The Alpha and the Omega, Part I} + finale6.bzn {The Alpha and the Omega, Part II} ____________________________________________ Now please correct me if iam wrong, but they are the exact missions from A1, so why are they on the mission menu, and these arn't the only references I have found. So is the game there 'hidden' or were they just lazy and copied things from A1 to A2 ??????

A2 is built from A1, references will remain but the bulk of the information that isn't needed from A1 will be missing. (the bzn files for example)

This often happens in sequels of games. Early Beta versions of Armada II will probably have used Armada I missions for example.

Did you notice any StarCraft items?

Armada seems to be very close to StarCraft. It may, or may not be based on it.

I'm pretty sure the game Armada was built from was discussed in a previous thread as four missions or items i think are left over. It could have been StarCraft.

You will find there is loads left over like the old spacedock and the odf file for the USS Avenger as well as hundreds of references used in the Dynamic_localized_Strings file.

C:\Program Files\Activision\Star Trek Armada II\bitmaps\AdmiralsLog\ShipImages\bomega. extra proof, i found the picture for the borg omaga particle containment device hidden away in the .bmp folder. they really did just nick the armada 1 files and add on to them.
