Hi, i am experiencing some lag issues, i dont know why, honestly, the game used to run perfectly fine when i had my 9600xt. I decided to dig the game out of my piles of cd's eager to play, and i am experiencing very annoying choppyness on my p4 3.0GHz, 1024megs of ram, x850xtpe video card. I've tried turning the graphics completely down, 800x600x16 with lowest graphics, nothing has helped. Please if there is anything you can suggest. Also, when i try to update from 1.1-1.2 it says my directory doesnt exist, dont know why.

Alot of these people will say its due to graphics ,or your pc which are not intirely true, lag issues can becaused by dialup, or in most cases a dirty disc that has scratches or gouges on cd. like myself, i have a damn good pc with excellent graphics, but in certain areas, i get lag in game especially when i host a game and a person on dialup joins game, then lag starts but if i have people on cable or dsl i get no lag, same goes with a dirty disc i have my setting set to 1024x768 highest color 32 bit color. also if you have modded your game you will find some issues with lag due to fire power in game is or they are not stabled enough or compatible with some games and that will cause lag as well. if this doesnt help then i hope that someone will help you on your quest to a lag free game.

I don't think Technique is talking about lag during internet play. Also a scratched disc will not bother the running of an already installed game since all the files are copied onto the HD during install. The only thing the program does is validate the fact that the Armada disc is actually in the HD then reads all the files from the HD. Scratches usually cause problem with install.

The upgrade problem is weird. Try applying the 1.2 patch to an empty "new folder" and dragging the update files to the places they belong.

You need an older driver which you should be able to download. Then in the game menu, you can select which one the game runs on. I believe that is the solution. In addition, this problem is A1 only, so nobody should worry about A2.
